Job Item: Area Sales Manager
Location: Designated branch in Cebu/Mindanao and will be required to work for all supply chain offices
Responsible to: Sales Manager / General Manager
Job Purpose: To manage the field sales team to identify and develop large scale sales with key accounts and to improve customer engagement in order to achieve and exceed challenging targets.
Responsibilities:
1. To lead, manage and motivate the branch/branches sales teams to achieve and exceed targets and KPI?s through support and supervision, training and coaching
2. To create and strengthen customer relationships to maximize sales opportunities and product offering and provide leading edge customer service and account management
3. To identify and develop new business development opportunities
4. To be responsible for product line management and support of sales team in allocated branches ensuring that performance is at optimum levels
5. To be accountable for all set individual & team targets ensuring these are not just met but exceeded
6. To manage key account delivery to ensure customer service level agreements and targets are achieved
7. To establish, implement and maintain a robust and timely management information system that reports on actual and pipeline sales activities and opportunities to enable performance to be continually assessed against key performance indicators
8. To plan and implement direct sales campaigns with key customer and potential clients across the area
9. To contribute to the development and implementation of the Customer Engagement Strategy
10. To meet with the Sales Manager / General Manager regularly to appraise sales and account performance and provide information to ensure resources and effort is being directed towards the achievement of maximum targets and efficiencies
11. To create and maintain effective working relationships with Account Managers and Team Leaders, colleagues and staff team
12. To comply with the Company Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Security policies and procedures
13. To bring to the attention of the Sales Manager / General Manager any matters which are considered to be potential risk factors to the proper safeguarding of information within the Organization and to contribute to the implementation of any security controls as advised by the General Manager
14. To participate in the Performance Appraisal with the Sales Manager / General Manager
15. To participate in staff training programs as agreed with your Sales Manager / General Manager
16. To carry out any other duties as requested by your Sales Manager / General Manager as to provide the needs of the branch/Sales area in the right perspective.
For the Area Sales Manager to succeed in this job, he/she must have the following:
Excellent sales and negotiation skills
Good business sense
The ability to motivate and lead a team
Initiative and enthusiasm
Excellent communication and 'people skills'
Goodplanning and organizational skills
The ability to work calmly under pressure
Good IT, budget and report writing skills
Must have a valid driving license
English, Tagalog and Cebuano language/dialect skills are increasingly useful
Average Qualification:
Male/Female, 23-35 years old
Preferably Single but not necessary
College Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration or any related field.
Has previous experience or knowledgeable in selling Industrial and Engineering Equipments
Has previous selling experience in the Construction and Mining Industry
Must be permanent resident of Cebu, Caraga Region, or any part of Northern Mindanao.
Knows how to drive and willing to take frequent travels
